Salem Psalms teams up with The Beatz & Lyrics show with Jayforce to release the 3rd in their A3C mixtape series, Beatz & Lyrics 2 Go Vol 2. The mixtape was recorded entirely during the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA on site at the venue in the Unique Squared Mobile Studio and also at Salem Psalms Library, an earshot away from the festival grounds. The project is once again executive produced by production duo The Bros Dynamite and features some of the most talented and notable independent hip hop artists around.

The 22 track mixtape is a mash-up of new collaborations between artists and producers that previously may not have worked together. The project features notables MC: J-Live, Reks, Termanology, Sha Stimuli, Focus…, Boog Brown, Stanza, Ultra Beast (Senor Kaos & 4ize), Laws, and many more. There is also a stellar line-up of producers featured on the project. Beats from Focus…, Illastrate, King I Divine, D.R.U.G.S., Shade Cobain, Nefarious!, and many more!

Mannnnnn! What ever happened to the thumbing through photos inside my favorite jewel case? Well… we felt the same way.

This interactive, 74 page full-color photo flipbook by Lens of Life Photography and Salem Psalms was captured entirely during the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA, on Oct. 6-8, 2011. Lens of Life followed the B&L2GOV2 Team to Salem Psalms Library and the Unique Squared Mobile Studio to document all the behind-the-scenes action of the recording process for all three days. In addition, the includes exclusive “live on stage” photos of Elzhi, M.O.P., Dead Prez, 4IZE, and more.

C.Flux.Sing + Goldi Gold + Mister Soul: Connect with 10 visual artists to create the artwork for the album

C.Flux.Sing, Goldi Gold, and Mister Soul combined to form our team of art directors. They gathered an additional ten of the dopest visual artists around to create 22 separate pieces of amazing cover art. They went a step further in coordinating the teams efforts to sculpt the themes of both and the Salem Psalms Bandcamp sites to make the project an unforgettable experience. The team was good enough to bless us with a wallpaper version of each of the 22 singles. They are included in your free download of every maxi-single. – 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, 1600 x 1200

Artist of the week is my big homie, Miya Bailey. This brother is part owner of “City of Ink” tattoo Parlor/Art Gallery and has been illustrating all his life. Starting early doing professional work since Junior High School so you know… he has impeccable skills. From Illustration, Digital Illustration, Painting, Tattoo Art and Graphic Design my man here does it all. He was recently featured in “Urban Ink”(tattoo mag.) and currently working on book displaying many new works and some background about the braddah. Designer, illustrator, Tattoo artist, Painter, Fashion designer… everything! BLAMMM! He is also founder of the new Fashion line “Plush.357″. Not to mention he and his crew are about to open Plush.357 store in downtown Atlanta. I first met home boy at my braddahs world renowned ” City of Ink” tattoo shop working as an apprentice for Miya Bailey and Tuki Carter(founders).
